These Guidelines apply whenever you use Aftrs. They sit alongside our Terms & Conditions (the Terms).
Do not use Aftrs to harm, intimidate or exploit anyone. This includes:
These rules help protect the trust that makes a friends-only community work. They do not replace the fuller rules in the Terms.
You can report content, conduct or a safety concern in the app. Please tell us what happened and share any screenshots or other details you can. You can report a user, message, profile, location or event.
If you are affected but do not use Aftrs, or you want to complain about our decision or a failure to act, email hello@aftrsapp.com with "Safety report" or "Safety complaint" in the subject line. We will not tell the reported user who made a report unless the law requires us to do so.
Please use reporting tools honestly. Do not make a false or malicious report to target someone.
If someone is abusive or makes you uncomfortable, you can block them in the app. Blocking may be the quickest way to stop unwanted contact while we review a report.
We prioritise reports by seriousness, including reports involving an immediate safety risk.
We look at the report, the information available and the context. Where appropriate, we may ask for more information. Depending on what happened, we may give a warning, remove content, restrict a feature, suspend an account or remove it. Serious harm, threats, exploitation or illegal activity may lead to immediate action.
Where appropriate, we will give a concise reason for a material decision. If you think we got a decision wrong, you can ask us to review it by emailing support@aftrsapp.com with "Appeal" in the subject line. A different team member will review the decision where that is practical.
Use the visibility, invisible-mode and blocking controls available in Aftrs.
Never share another person's location or status without their permission. Think carefully before sharing your own location, especially when travelling or meeting someone. If something feels wrong, leave the situation if you can and speak to someone you trust.
If you are in immediate danger, call 999 in the UK or your local emergency service. Aftrs is not an emergency service.
Events and any host or attendee information on Aftrs are user-created. Aftrs does not organise or verify events, venues, hosts or attendees. We do not carry out background checks or guarantee that an event will happen as described. Check the details, make your own plans, tell a friend where you are going and leave if you feel unsafe.
Do not use Aftrs to organise or promote an event involving violence, harassment, exploitation, non-consensual activity, unlawful drug supply or other illegal activity. Report an event or host if something seems unsafe.
We may update these Guidelines when Aftrs changes or to keep the community safe. If a change is important, we will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect, unless we need to act sooner for legal or safety reasons.
