Aftrs Terms & Conditions

Aftrs is a social app designed to help people connect for spontaneous parties. Some features are free. We may introduce paid features in the future. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the app at any time.

Aftrs allows users to post and share information about gatherings. We do not create, verify, or endorse any user-generated parties, posts, or accounts. Aftrs does not organise, host, supervise, or take responsibility for any gatherings arranged through the app. Aftrs is a platform only and does not act as an agent or organiser. Participation in any event is at your own risk.

You can choose to sync your contacts with Aftrs. If you give us permission (as allowed by applicable law), we will access the phone numbers stored in your device's address book. This may include the numbers of people who use Aftrs, as well as contacts who do not. You confirm that you have the right to share contact information from your address book for this purpose.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Aftrs. By creating an account or using the platform, you confirm that you are 18 or older. Aftrs is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly permit access to anyone under 18.

• •You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and login details, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• •You agree to use Aftrs only for lawful, respectful, and safe purposes.
• •You confirm that all information you provide to us is accurate and up to date.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you provide false information or breach these requirements.

When using Aftrs, you agree not to:

• •Harass, abuse, or harm others.
• •Post or share offensive, illegal, or misleading content.
• •Impersonate anyone or misrepresent yourself.
• •Interfere with or disrupt the app.
• •Use Aftrs to encourage unsafe or irresponsible behaviour.
• •Engage in illegal activity.

We may suspend or remove your account if you break these rules.

In addition to the rules above, you agree that you will not use Aftrs to:

• •Upload, share, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, threatening, or that may reasonably cause harm or distress to others.
• •Upload sexual content involving yourself or other adults in a way that violates app store terms or applicable law.
• •Upload or share any content involving anyone under 18.
• •Promote or facilitate the sale or distribution of illegal substances.
• •Encourage, organise, or promote dangerous, unlawful, or non-consensual activity.
• •Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
• •Collect, scrape, or harvest data from Aftrs, whether manually or via automated tools such as bots, scripts, or crawlers.
• •Use Aftrs for any commercial or promotional purpose without our prior written consent.
• •Attempt to reverse-engineer, interfere with, or exploit the app or our systems.

Nudity may be permitted where it is consensual and non-exploitative but we may remove content at our discretion where it is inappropriate, unsafe, or breaches app store rules.

We may remove content or restrict access to the app if we believe this Acceptable Use Policy has been breached.

You own your content. Photos, messages, and information you post are yours. You are responsible for the content you post and warrant that you have the right to share it.

By using Aftrs, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free transferable and sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and process your content so the app works as intended. This includes sharing data with trusted partners (e.g. analytics, hosting, AI models) to provide and improve our services.

We may remove content at our discretion if we believe it breaches these terms.

Aftrs helps you connect with other users and discover gatherings, but we do not verify the identity of users, the accuracy of posts, or the safety or legitimacy of any events shared within the app.

When meeting people or attending a gathering arranged through Aftrs, you are solely responsible for your own safety and for taking reasonable precautions. This may include:

• •Meeting in public spaces first
• •Letting friends know where you are
• •Trusting your instincts and leaving situations that feel unsafe

We are not responsible for the actions of users or for anything that occurs at gatherings or locations shared via the app.

• •You can close your account at any time. Some data may remain for legal or technical reasons.
• •We may update or change these Terms & Conditions. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you.
• •If we introduce paid subscriptions in the future, you will always be able to cancel at any time through your device's app store settings.

We may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your access to Aftrs at our discretion, including where:

• •you breach these Terms
• •we reasonably believe your conduct puts other users, the platform, or the wider community at risk
• •we are required to do so to comply with legal or regulatory obligations
• •it is necessary to protect the integrity, security, or reputation of the platform

Where appropriate, we may do so without prior notice.

If you download Aftrs from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you acknowledge that:

• •These Terms & Conditions are between you and Magic Moth Limited, not Apple nor Google.
• •Apple and Google are not responsible for providing support or maintenance for Aftrs.
• •Apple and Google make no warranty obligations regarding Aftrs.
• •You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app on your device.

If you are using an iOS device, you acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries to these Terms and may enforce them against you.
